PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix is a unique dry blend of Rapid Set® Cement and a quality sand. NO CHLORIDES ARE ADDED. When mixed with water, it produces a quality mortar which gains strengths exceeding 3000-psi in 1-hr and 5000-psi in 24-hr. Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix is ready for traffic and loading within 2 hours. Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix is similar in color and application to portland cement concrete. Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix can be extended with a clean, uniform sized aggregate. For improved durability in some geographical areas, Rapid Set® packaged grout, mortar, concrete and DOT repair mixes contain an admixture which produces about 6% air entrainment in the mixed product.

USES:
Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix is ideal for concrete repair applications where high durability, and quick turn around is required. Uses include repair of highways and bridges, airfield pavements, parking decks and ramps, sidewalks and steps, floors and joints.

YIELD & PACKAGING:
Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix is available through distributors in 25-kg (55-lb) polyethylene lined bags. Yield on the neat bag is approximately 0.5 cu. ft. per 25kg (55 lb) bag. Yield when bag is extended 100% is approximately 0.9 cu. ft. per 25kg (55 lb) bag.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Concrete repair surfaces should be clean, sound, and free from any materials that may inhibit bond such as oil, asphalt, curing compounds, acids, dirt and loose debris. Roughen surface and remove all unsound concrete. Immediately prior to placement the repair surface shall be thoroughly saturated with no standing water (ssd).

MIX & APPLY:
The working time for Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix is 10-20 minutes at 70F. Setting time is longer at lower temperatures and shorter at higher temperatures. The working time may be extended by using chilled materials and/or Rapid Set® Set Control®. In cold weather heated materials may be used to accelerate the set and strength development.

Place material quickly and strike off with a screed. Apply desired finish. Begin water curing immediately after final finishing. For more details, contact CTS.
